February at 3C was full of creativity – we gathered and explored a variety of skills and creative ways to problem solve, working together as teams as independently!
Our Paint By Numbers event was a new event for 3C and after seeing the painting talent among us, we think it will become a regular! Our participants partnered up and tackled a large A2 painting, following the colour patterns on the canvas. We created such beautiful paintings together, each holding their own flare of the artist who painted them!
Trivia Night was next on our calendar, hosted by Conor and our newest team member Liv! We have on good authority that Liv fits right in with the 3C Community and thoroughly enjoyed hosting Trivia. Participants gathered again in small groups as they tackled LOTS of questions about movies, celebrities, music, city names and other categories. A special congratulations to The Cardinators (a combination of Cardi B and The Terminator) team, consisting of Josh, Pete and Eleanor for taking out the top prize!
We then followed with our highly regarded Masterchef nights, this month we took ourselves to Japan and attempted to make our own Sushi. To be honest, it was a very messy affair, and the sushi rolling technique proved to be quite tricky! Mitchell was calling it “deconstructed sushi.” But our participants at 3C always find creative ways to have fun and learn something new, even if it doesn’t turn out quite right. And hey, they were still delicious!
Finally, our Saturday event for this month was a classic night out for dinner. We love seeing all our participants rock up to Saturday events in their best dressed outfits, ready for a night on the town. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend one of our favourite restaurants at Burwood Brickworks, but we were luckily able to score a big table for us at Geppetto’s down the road. Celeste entertained us all with her creative sense of humour and had everyone giggling for hours! The team at Geppetto’s love it when 3C come to visit, and they look after us well with delicious Italian eats. We were even gifted with a beautiful sunset view during our walk back to the centre.
Thank you to all the participants who attended our events this month. We hope you enjoyed tapping into your creative spirits and working together with your mates. See you in March!
